Texas settlers and Texas Icons

Today we will process the definitions from 2/7/23, and discuss the importance of early Texas Icons Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, General Santa Anna, and the Karankawa and Comanche native Americans.  We will also begin to discuss the rumblings of Texians’ discontent with Mexico.

This video mirrors the lecture portion of our class today.

We will also be discussing the Old 300, and I have asked the students to find our their ancestors’ last names, as we will be looking them up on the Old 300 directory on Thursday.
